Due to unforeseeable circumstances, we find it necessary to cancel the
Fall Hunter/Jumper Clinic with Bill Moroney. We invite you to check
back often for updates and look forward to seeing you in the

The amount again this year is $20 for each 4H member, and $40 for non 4H members or adults.
We are also requesting a $5 donation to audit.
We have also made some changes to this years format which we feel are in the best interest of the horse, the rider and all involved.
Please make sure to read the descriptions of each level and select the group that you are currently riding at, and that group which is best suited for you and your horse.
Additionally this year, we are requesting that when you send in your payment, to please include your full name, group selection, trainer name and contact information, or barn name and reference. This may be necessary for determining proper group selection.

BIOGRAPHY
Bill Moroney has been professionally involved in the hunter and jumper industry for over 30 years, participating as a Trainer, Rider, Owner and USEF Licensed Judge.
Riders, horses and ponies he has trained/ridden have been Champion/Reserve Champio n and/or winners in the hunter and jumper divisions at major competitions including the Washington International, Pennsylvania National, Devon, Spruce Meadows, Valkenswaard, German Friendships, Lake Placid, Upperville, Kentucky and the Winter Equestrian Festival. Bill has successfully trained and ridden at the Grand Prix level.
Bill is a USEF Licensed “R” Hunter and Hunter Seat Equitation judge and has officiated at such prestigious competitions as Devon, The National Horse Show, Pin Oak Charity, The Winter Equestrian Festival, The USEF National Medal Finals, The USEF National Pony Championships and The USEF National Pony Medal Finals.
Bill is the current President of the United States Hunter Jumper Association (USHJA), serves on the Executive Committee and Board of Directors of the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF), USEF Hearing Committee, USEF High Performance Show Jumping Committee, USEF Planning Committee and USEF National Affiliates Working Group.
CLINIC FORMAT
The clinic will be for hunter and jumper oriented riders of all ages, divided into groups based on level of experience and education. Each Group is limited to a maximum of 6 riders and they will ride for approximately 90 minutes, except Group I which will ride for one hour and can have up to 8 riders.
Group I – Riders who are beginning their equestrian education. These riders are currently working on the flat at the walk, trot and canter as well as walking/trotting over poles on the ground.
Group II – Riders who are proficient at the walk, trot, canter and jumping fences and courses from 2’0” to 2’3” in height and width. Riders should have a good foundation of flatwork and are in the pr ocess of developing a good foundation in jumping. Riders should be able to perform basic movements on the flat including halt, back, half turn and reverse, circles, serpentines, figure eights and simple lead changes.
Group III – Riders who are proficient at the walk, trot, canter and jumping courses ranging from 2’6” to 2’9” in height and width. Riders should have a good foundation of flatwork and jumping and have started to experience more advanced concepts and exercises. Riders should be able to perform the following flatwork exercises: halt, back, half turn and reverse, half turn in reverse, circles, serpentines, figure eights, leg yields and simple and/or flying changes of lead.
Group IV – Riders who are competent at the walk, trot, canter, hand gallop and jumping courses from 3’0” to 3’6” in height and wid th. Riders should have a sound foundation of flatwork and jumping including more advanced concepts and exercises. Riders should be able to perform the following flatwork exercises: halt, back, half turn and reverse, half turn in reverse, circles, serpentines, figure eights, leg yields, simple and/or flying changes of lead, counter canter and riding without stirrups.
* For Group I, if there are some riders who are a bit more advanced than the Group I description, but not quite ready for group II, please indicate that when registering as we can break Group I into two levels.
All individuals are required to wear ASTM/SEI riding helmet and boots with a heel.
Please wear a polo shirt and breeches, and prepare your horse as you would for a show.
