The Washington County Horse Council in a nonprofit volunteer run organization that has a three point mission: 

• To promote equestrian activities for youth and adults in Washington County
• To provide a voice in the county that represents equestrian interests in terms of zoning, laws pertaining to horses and the development of facilities for the enjoyment of equestrian pursuits.
• To sponsor activities (including but not limited to horse shows, trail rides, and clinics) that provide for increasing knowledge of horses and horsemanship.
